7Hz G1's Review
General/Packaging/Build/Comfort
7Hz is releasing their first gaming series IEM, namely the G1. It is a single dynamic driver tuned with gamer’s in mind, so is it suitable for us audiophiles? Let’s take a look at this review. The packaging is minimal with a silicon based storage pouch, which i kinda like the design, it is roomy with plenty of space if you are cable rolling the G1 with a thicker cable, it will fit. Eartips are the standard eartips and also the IEM itself. The cable itself is very soft and doesn’t get tangled up easily, as with most 7Hz’s releases, the stock cable that came with the IEMs usually looks and feel very high quality The build quality is solid, a full metal build with some heft, but it disappears when you are wearing it on your ears, fits very well and I don't have any discomfort throughout my listening session.

Foreword
My review is solely based on what I hear via my equipment and I never consider my reviews to be objective in any way rather a subjective approach. Do take into consideration that everyone’s ear anatomy is not the same, so the psychoacoustics perception might be different as well, but i believe it will not stray too far
Sound Impression
The G1 is clean sounding overall with a focus on sub bass. The timbre is also very natural and the technicalities are really good for the asking price, I'd go as far as saying it might be punching above its price point. Well done!
Bass
Bass quality is good on the G1 and has adequate quantity for me
The sub bass does rumble when it’s called especially when i am playing some games with it, God of War Ragnarok, which a lot of actions, it is just fun
Mid bass has good slam and punch to it and it is really commendable for its price point
Good texture and speed as it is evident on tracks like Slipknot’s People = Shit, it’s keeping up and doesn’t sound muddy at all, it doesn’t even bleed into the mids
Mids
The mids has good note weight to me when listening to Imperial March by Wiener Philharmoniker, John Williams
It is overall quite clean sounding
Vocal positioning is slightly recessed but not to the point where it is v-shaped kind of recess
Both male and female vocal has pleasant texture and weight to the vocals, they’re not thin sounding
Upper mids are safe and no where near shouty
Treble
Treble has got enough energy and never harsh nor sibilant, not overly smooth overall but certainly not dark
Good amount of air and extension which is quite rare for the price point
Nothing much to comment here as the implementation is generally good
Soundstage/Imaging
Soundstage has good width, height and depth perception, which is expected for an IEM tuned for gaming. Imaging has pinpoint accuracy as well, identifying the direction of where the enemy is coming from. For music listening, the separation is really good especially for the asking price.
Driveability
G1 is easy to drive but of course when you feed it with a better source, it does perform better. Majority of the dongle will be sufficient to provide a decent experience on the G1.
Comparison (Tripowin Vivace)
The Vivace is overall a warmer set compared to G1, G1 is cleaner sounding overall
Technicalities on the G1 is better than Vivace, in terms of imaging and separation, sound stage wise, both are quite similar
Note weight is slightly thicker to my ears
Bass transition is quite linear, the quantity and quality is not up to par compared to G1
Vivace are smaller in terms of shell size, but fit wise, both are equally comfortable
Very minimal packaging, no storage pouch included, only the IEM, cable as well as generic eartips
I wouldn’t say which one is better, but both are tuned differently suited for different audiences, if you are looking for technicalities, G1 is the way to go, if you just want to enjoy music and couldn’t care much about technicalities, you can consider the Vivace
Final Thoughts
Not gonna say much but if someone asks me if they should get G1 as their first starter IEM? Or even as their daily driver? I’m more than happy to tell them yes, even seasoned audiophiles will like this I'm sure. I for one like them, I take em out and just put them on with my DAP and listen to music and also play games with it on my ROG Ally. It is just something that I wear and I listen to music and completely indulge myself into it. An easy rec for G1 in terms of sound and high price performance ratio.
